Shoulder Barbotage for Calcific Tendinopathy

Shoulder Barbotage for Calcific Tendinopathy

Ultrasound guided barbotage treatment for calcific tendinopathy of the shoulder is available now at Physio Motive in Sudbury, Suffolk.

Barbotage is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat calcium deposits within the rotator cuff tendons. Under ultrasound guidance, the calcium deposit is targeted with a needle and washed or broken down to help reduce pain and improve shoulder movement.

We are currently updating this page with more detailed information about barbotage, who may be suitable, what the procedure involves, expected recovery and aftercare.

If you would like to discuss whether barbotage may be suitable for your shoulder, please contact us or book an assessment.
