What is a Diagnostic Ultrasound Scan?

A diagnostic ultrasound is a safe, radiation free imaging method that uses high frequency sound waves to create real time images of your soft tissues.
It’s one of the most accurate and dynamic ways to assess soft tissue or joint problems, often outperforming MRI.

At Physio Motive, all scans are performed by Bradie Clarke, an experienced Chartered Physiotherapist and Qualified Sonographer with advanced postgraduate training in diagnostic ultrasound.

Who Can Benefit From a Private Diagnostic Ultrasound Scan?

You may benefit from a private diagnostic ultrasound scan if you can say yes to any of the following:

✅ You have had symptoms for more than three weeks
✅ Your symptoms have not improved with rest or basic treatment
✅ You have experienced a recent injury and want to know the extent of the damage

✅ Elbow pain when lifting or gripping objects
✅ Wrist or hand pain or tingling
✅ Hip pain when sitting, walking or lying on your side
